The membership model is actually more affordable than you think!
There is a one-time $100 family enrollment fee. After that, the monthly fee is based on your child’s age. There are no hidden fees and most health care needs will be covered under this fee. In a traditional practice, a visit for a simple rash can cost more than $150 out of pocket depending on deductibles and insurance plans. Follow-up visits for an upper respiratory infection with ear infection can easily reach more than $300. All of these types of visits are included in the one monthly fee!
We also are able to do a lot through texting and a quick call, saving families from taking time off of work and avoiding long wait times in the doctor’s office.

We recommend all patients have health insurance to provide coverage for catastrophic events, hospitalizations, surgeries and other expensive, unexpected health needs. Based on everything covered under the Village Pediatrics model, many patients may opt to change their insurance policy to a high deductible plan and save money that way as well.

Absolutely!! Dr. Forshey will meet each prospective family before they join to make sure it is a perfect fit. Contact us to set up a meet and greet!

We know most babies come with lots of questions and we are here to help! We will help you determine if what you’re seeing is typical, or if we need to schedule a visit. We are available by text, which can make getting answers much quicker than waiting for a call back from an office. This feature is especially helpful in saving time and decreasing your worry since Dr. Forshey is readily available to you and your family.
In-home visits make appointments much more convenient, while avoiding the hassle (and germs) of a pediatric office. Visits in your home help us to avoid infections which can lead to a newborn being admitted to the hospital for evaluation.

Dr. Forshey recommends the vaccination schedule approved by the AAP and CDC for all children. For families who are unsure or hesitant about vaccines, we take the time to explain the benefits of vaccines, answer questions, and help you feel comfortable with the care and safety of your child. For families who wish to split or space out vaccines, we are able to return to the home for a small additional charge. Rest assured, all vaccine conversations are welcome!

We do! We know many families can’t take time off work and school for routine care, so we offer flexibility to our families. We also know that children do not become ill only during working hours. Because it is easy to reach Dr. Forshey, flexibility in scheduling is one of the great benefits of Village Pediatrics!
-
Yes! The benefit of direct access and communication with Dr. Forshey, as well as the small number of patients in the practice, allows us to work to schedule patients quickly and conveniently.
-
Call or text us! This is another benefit of being a member! Once we determine the best course of care, we can call in prescriptions, help locate the nearest care center or discuss your child’s medical history with a local provider. We are available even when you’re not home!

Patients tell us they visit urgent care centers when they don’t have access to their pediatrician, so we do give you total access to your doctor. We are available through text and email, both of which may save an additional visit to the Emergency Room. We can often diagnose or provide peace of mind with a simple photo, video or conversation. You can schedule a visit and message us when you need it. You do not need to wait by the phone for the office to be open or wait on hold to try and get the last appointment of the day. We can accommodate same-day and next-day visits based on your schedule and needs, and you won’t have to wait in a lobby!
